Metamorphasis: A Mother Daughter Retreat
Metamorphosis
Come back together.
Metamorphosis is Voyage's signature wellness gathering, returning for its second year. Nine days at a working horse ranch in the central highlands of México — bodywork and breathwork at sunrise, hours in the saddle through flowering highlands and canyon trails, long meals at the communal table, and the kind of stillness that only happens when you are far from anything you are supposed to be doing.
This is not a wellness vacation. It is a practice in transformation — held by a small, deliberate roster of practitioners we have chosen carefully and tested over time, in a setting where the temperature stays at seventy-two degrees year-round and the waterfalls run all season.
Twenty-five guests. Nine days. One ranch, ours alone. We keep it small on purpose.
held with reverence.
Rancho Las Cascadas sits in the central highlands of México, ninety minutes from Mexico City, named for the waterfalls that run year-round through the canyon below. Twenty years ago its founder, Uschki, called it "a place where people remember who they are." That intention has held.
The ranch is built of adobe and local stone, by local hands. Casitas open onto gardens of heritage seed. A glass-walled yoga pavilion overlooks the cascades. There is an infinity pool, a hot tub fed warm beneath the stars, and a temazcal — the traditional Mexican sweat lodge — built of volcanic rock and lined with wild herbs.
The climate, almost stubbornly, holds at seventy-two degrees year-round. Cold mornings give way to clear afternoons. Meals are served at one long communal table, prepared in-house from what grew or grazed nearby, and the open bar is always open.
For the duration of the retreat, we have the place to ourselves.
A short list, by design. Each practitioner holds a portion of the nine days — one-on-one work, small workshops, and a few unhurried gatherings of the whole group.
Sacred Forge Healing
Eric brings a practice that is part divination, part listening. Private readings throughout the retreat and one group circle on opening night. Bring a question; he'll meet it.
Wholistic Rebirth
A bodyworker whose hands have undone things many of us did not know we were holding. One-on-one sessions and a single morning workshop on releasing what the body has stored.
The Stables
Up to seven hours in the saddle every day, should you want them. The ranch's instructors match each guest to the right horse and the right pace — beginners find their seat in the arena and on gentle trails, while experienced riders take to the open highlands for long, unhurried canters.
The Kitchen
Small-group cooking with the ranch's chef — masa, fire, herbs from the garden, what arrived from the market that morning. A different lesson each day, kept small.
Voyage
Your host. Ophelia leads the welcome, the closing, and the threads in between — including a small group offering for those who want to talk about what comes next.
The Temazcal
One evening, a temazcal ceremony — the traditional Mexican sweat lodge, built of volcanic stone and perfumed with local herbs. Held by ranch elders. Optional, included for those who choose it.
unhurried.
Settling
A welcome dinner at the long table, an opening circle with Sacred Forge, and time to land. No ambition asked of you on the first day.
The Body Listens
Bodywork sessions with Wholistic Rebirth begin. Morning yoga in the pavilion above the cascades. Long rides for those who want them.
The Kitchen Opens
Two days centered on the table — cooking with the ranch chef, eating, and the kind of conversation that happens with your hands in masa.
Going In
The deeper sessions: angelic readings, a temazcal ceremony at dusk, and quiet for those who need it.
Return
A closing circle, a final meal, a long goodbye. You leave changed and you know it.
Open Hours
Half of every day is yours — to ride, to swim, to walk to the waterfalls, to read in the hot tub. The retreat is built around space, not schedule.
